What a great night! Since my Birthday is on a Tuesday this year we thought we would go out on the weekend to celebrate. This way no one needs to wake up early for any reason. We met up at La Nopalera for dinner then out to the beach for a bit of bar hopping. My friends gave me some very nice gifts…hot dressy shirt from Express (Shelby), stylish work tote (Reggie & Ryan) and a handmade original necklace by Meghan (Meghan & Chris). I can’t wait to wear and use them all.
It was a great night to hit the beach. We first went to the Ritz, then the Atlantic and then finally to the Brix. The night was filled with friends, drinks and dancing. Great combo!

What a weekend…with the Schumacher’s coming into visit Thursday night and Colleen arriving on Friday afternoon the weekend has been full of fun and energy. The Schumacher’s (Hazen & Rusty) are best friends with B’s G-pa Westerman. They live in Ann Arbor, MI and travel down South every year to Florida for the winter. This has been the 3rd year in a row we have had the pleasure of dining one night with them as they make their way down to South Florida. Dave & Buster’s was our restaurant of choice this year and we had a blast catching up on the year. Thanks to Hazen & Rusty for visiting us!
When Colleen arrived on Friday it has been non-stop with eating, dancing, house showing and furniture/appliance hunting. Friday night we went to Crazy Sushi, then out to River City Brewing Co. for some swing dancing. On Saturday we slept in and then went to show Colleen & Shelby our new home. They loved it and can’t wait for us to move in. That night we headed to Roy’s (Asian Infused restaurant) down at the beach. Yummy is all I can say. We have been wanting to try this place for a while and we picked the perfect night to go…margaritas, martini’s, Teryiaki ribs, and Banana’s Foster are just of the few indulgences of the night. Next we went to Bolero’s (Ballroom dancing) where we met up with friends of Shelby & Colleen. So the weekend has been great and more to come. Today we will watch the Superbowl at home and maybe start the packing process. Tomorrow night we are heading to JL Trents for dinner. Seafood here we come! Shelby is working her connections
Thanks Sis!

After an intense playoff game against the New England Patriots the Jacksonville Jaguars could not defeat the undefeated Patriots. There is always next year!!!! Brandon and I had a Jaguar party with about 14 friends cheering on the Jags until the very end. We had a great time despite the loss. Thank you to all who came over to support our Jacksonville Jaguars.

Happy New Year 2008 to all!!!! What a terrific year for Brandon and I in 2007 and we are certainly looking forward to our adventures in 2008. On New Year’s Eve we rang in the New Year in the comfort of our home with friends Reggie & Ryan. We enjoyed cracking up at each others jokes, playing Blokus (a new game of Reggie’s), watching the many New Year’s Eve celebrations on television and drinking some bubbly. Believe it or not, it was one of the best New Year’s ever. This was the 3rd year in a row counting down with Reg & Ryan. Since meeting them a little over 3 years ago they have become two of our best friends. Thanks you two for coming over and celebrating with us! Here are a few pics…click here!

Congratulations to our friends Poppy & John who welcomed their new little addition into the world last week. He was a healthy and beautiful baby boy after 18 long hours of labor.
We can’t wait to meet him.
Love you guys! Steph & Brandon

Tonight we will celebrate the New Year quietly in our home with our friends Reggie & Ryan after celebrating an entire week of Christmas with both of our families. From LA back to Jacksonville, and then a quick detour to Orlando it has been a week to remember. While in LA Brandon and I enjoyed seeing so many. Being so far from home it is great to see our parents and siblings. It was especially wonderful to see my Uncle Wayne as he is looking stronger each day. Kali and Josh had just returned from their Honeymoon in Cozumel. Ruthie was in town and she looked great as ever since her wedding in September. Just naming a few, but we truly were able to see so many of our family and friends while in town for the holiday.
This was the very 1st Christmas for our nephews Nicholas & Noah so it was a special treat to see them attempt to open presents at the age of 6 1/2 months, then try to put all the wrapping paper in their mouths. These boys are no fuss and all smiles. What an awesome time to see them as they quickly grow. I miss them already
With the new webcam we gave Lisa & John for X-mas we are looking to see them again very soon.
When we returned to Jax on Wednesday Brandon’s parents were in town to celebrate with us as well. They took a very long car ride from Albuquerque, NM to Jax…a good 25 hours give or take and crossing 2 timezones. We were thrilled to see them continue the fun. We had our X-mas together and ordered in Copeland’s for dinner…mmmmm! Yes, their is a Copeland’s less than a 1/2 a mile from our home.
On Thursday evening we headed to Orlando to attend the Champs Bowl where MSU was unfortunately beaten by Boston College. With MSU missing 5 key players during this game the Spartans lost 24-21. Despite the loss we had a blast with our parents and Reggie & Ryan who had driven down to meet up with us. Reggie is a MSU Alumni as well as B’s dad & G-pa Westerman. We stayed at the Peabody hotel…great beds…soft and cozy. I definitely recommend this hotel. Plus as a bonus you get to see the ducks they are famous for bath in the fountain daily.
Saturday we headed back to Jax and had dinner with Charlie & Mickey (family friends) and then rested the rest of the weekend. So as you can see our week in review is one we won’t forget. To see the many pictures…you know I have them click here.
Happy New Year to you all!

Well all I can say is…another perfect wedding with a perfect couple in our family. What a blast we had in New Orleans as we celebrated the nuptials of Kali Vutera to Josh Milliken. The festivities began on Thursday, Dec. 13th as we rolled into the historical French Quarter. From there we attended a tea party, rehearsed for the big day in the St. Louis Cathedral, dined at Ralph & Kaccos for the Rehearsal Dinner, partied off the balcony at the Bourbon Orleans, slept, woke up and ate Beignets at Cafe Du Monde, met Kali at 11a to start getting ready for the big day, wedding began at 7p at the cathedral, then we Second Lined it to Pat O’Brien’s on the River Front at Jackson Brewery along the Mississippi River, danced and ate to our hearts were content during the reception, then made our way back to the hotel for a little more Bourbon Street balcony action, next onto Pat O’Brien’s off Bourbon for a Hurricane cocktail…mmmmmm delicious, left there for a bite to eat which is where the famous Lucky Dog stand outside of Tropical Isle came in handy, 2 Dogs and at that time 2 waters To Go B and I headed to the hotel, we slept again, then woke up for another Beignet feast. After all of this fun we headed to see the twins and our family. In a nutshell of run on sentences this was our fabulous and unforgettable weekend in Louisiana. To see for yourself click here & here!
