Another great time in Louisiana…

Not only was my HS Reunion wonderful, but the great times with my family were even better.  I spent lots of time with my family eating delicious homemade Seafood Gumbo & Boiled Blue Crabs.  Our friend Ryan came along with us and had many of his first experiences as well.  It was fun watching him try to eat a crab for the first time.  Please enjoy the pics below and for more click here!

Stephanie’s 10 Yr HS Reunion: Hammond High School

Well 10 years is a long time and we had a great turn out for the Class of ‘98 in Hammond, LA.  We all had a blast at the Mezzanine which is where the reunion was held.  We met up with some friends to eat out at Jacmel first before heading to the party.  When we arrived the club was packed and everyone was having a great time.  I have to admit that some folks I didn’t remember by name, but I certainly remembered their face.  Thanks to those of you who helped put it together.  I look forward to the next one.  For more pics click here!

Potter’s 1st Beach Trip July 2008

Potter’s 1st beach trip was amazing! We headed out with our friends Chris & Meghan and their doggy Ruckus for some afternoon beach fun. Ruckus is no stranger to the beach so he showed Potter the ropes. They ran, wrestled, played catch and took a deep in the ocean. While we were out we spotted another Min Pin on the beach named Buck. He and Potter looked identical. Once Potter saw Buck they were instant friends. After our trip to the beach we headed to the Ritz for a drink, then to Al’s Pizza for some grub. Our doggies loved hanging out with us and we will definitely do it again soon.

The Vutera’s & Fuller’s Road Trip to Jax July 08

Date July 9, 2008

What a great time! It was so wonderful to have my parents, sister, brother-in-law & the twins in our home for the very first time. This was Nicholas & Noah’s first vacation and trip to Jax. At 13 months they were so much fun. They were introduced to the beach and to Potter (our new min pin). Once they got use to both it was smooth sailing. The family came over 4th of July weekend so we saw fireworks downtown as well. My mom made delicious Louisiana food and met our neighbors. It was truly a blessing to have them all here since they don’t get many opportunities to travel. Brandon and I are ready for the next time they make the trip over. Here are some pics from their stay and links to more! Enjoy.  Steph’s Pics & Lisa’s Pics

Westerman Family Trip to Islamorada 2008

Posted by Stephanie @ 5:35 pm

Date June 26, 2008

What a vacation!  If you are in need of some R&R as well as a little fun in the sun then Islamorada and the Florida Keys is your place.   Scott & Colleen (B’s parents) rented a beach house for a week in Islamorada for us all to enjoy ourselves.  We can’t thank them enough for the generosity.  It was such a treat.  The beach house was amazing and very comfortable.  We had our own private beach and pool to enjoy along with beautiful palm trees and coconuts.  Brandon actually managed to hack a coconut open (see pics of his experience!) and it wasn’t easy.  Our plan was to relax and do only what we wanted to do.  So laying out, drinking fruity drinks, grilling out, swimming with the dolphins, shopping, sleeping, playing games, listening to music and great seafood was what we did all week.  So enough of the writing…enjoy these links as well as a few of the pics below from our trip.  Click on the following… Islamorada, Key West, Dolphin Swim, & Family Photos!

Introducing Ivurson…

Brandon and I have decided we would like to have a little dog in our life that we can love. Ivurson came from a friend of mine at work and we are seeing if he likes it in our home and being with us for a week. If all goes as planned Ivurson will be our new addition to the family. Here are a few pics of him below. He is a Min Pin (Miniature Pincher), which is a Terrier breed. Too cute I tell ya.

Jax Weekend June 08

Posted by Brandon @ 9:27 pm

Date June 9, 2008

What another great weekend in Jax. Ruthie stopped by on an overnight, Brandon had boys night b/c Andy got a “Hall Pass” and we attended the Pub-n-Crawl down at Jax Beach. Ruthie was only here on Friday night, but dinner at PF Changs then dessert at Capital Grille was a blast. We caught up on girl talk, then met Shelby & Elizabeth at CG. Chef James knows how to cook it up and the Grapefruit Martini’s are delicious. Brandon hung out with old friends and lived it up in Avondale. The Pub-n-Crawl was on Sat. afternoon. Brandon, Ryan & me met up again with Shelby and her friends to bar hop around the beach. A cup is given, there are 12 bars to attend, and drink specials at each…let’s just say we didn’t make it to all. We hit Lynch’s, Mangos, Eddie Bahamas, Campeche Bay, then lastly Snickers where food was needed. Click here for pics from our weekend!

NICHOLAS & NOAH’S BIRTHDAY WEEKEND IN LOUISIANA

Posted by Stephanie @ 5:53 pm

Date June 3, 2008

THE TWIN’S TURN 1 YEAR OLD

We celebrated their Birthday on May 31st at their home. Nicholas & Noah’s actual birth date is June 1st. My sister went all out with a “Cat in the Hat’s Thing 1 & Thing 2″ themed party. A big white tent was pitched, fans were positioned, Thing 1 & Thing 2 decorations were all around, kids goody bags & cookies were made, BBQ was grilled, spiked punch was drank and we congratulated these two beautiful babies coming into all our lives. The cakes were outstanding and the toys were everywhere. The party was a success and we will always remember the fun with these pictures…click here to see more of the twin’s B-day celebration and the rest of our amazing weekend.

Game Night with out new neighbors!

Posted by Stephanie @ 9:05 am

Date May 18, 2008

When we were buying this home we hoped that our neighbors would be friendly, cool and people we could get to know. Brandon and I really got lucky when we purchased our new home! We have become great friends with many of our neighbors and most are around our age, so we have many things in common. Over the past 2 1/2 months since we have been homeowners we have had game nights, beer pong tournaments, housewarmings, graduations, and more. It is nice to hangout then walk across the street to go home. No drinking and driving.

This past Friday night we headed to Chili’s then over to Scott & Josh’s house for game night. Here is a picture of our new friends & neighbors.

From left to right: Scott, Jessica, Derrick, Josh, me, & Brandon…unfortunately, Stephanie (another Stephanie) was taking the picture so she isn’t in this.

Our Housewarming in Jax May 2008

Posted by Stephanie @ 7:56 pm

Date May 11, 2008

This past Saturday Brandon and I had a Housewarming Party for many of our close friends and co-workers. We had a blast with folks coming and going throughout the afternoon & evening. We went all out with a Pony Keg, Wine, Sangria, Red Beans & Rice, Jambalaya and many other party snacks. Luckily, the Louisiana food was a hit and not to spicy for the Jax crowd. We had just enough leftovers for a second helping today…mmmmm! The conversations were endless and everyone mingled. There was lots of laughter and jokes and of course some pictures :) Our friend Danielle took these for us as we gave house tours to those who came over. We want to thank the Shelton’s and Shelby for all their efforts to prepare for the party. We appreciate all those that came to celebrate our first home and wished us much love and memories in our new home. Thank you all for the wonderful gifts and you are always welcome in our home. Love, The Westermans
