Tonight we will celebrate the New Year quietly in our home with our friends Reggie & Ryan after celebrating an entire week of Christmas with both of our families. From LA back to Jacksonville, and then a quick detour to Orlando it has been a week to remember. While in LA Brandon and I enjoyed seeing so many. Being so far from home it is great to see our parents and siblings. It was especially wonderful to see my Uncle Wayne as he is looking stronger each day. Kali and Josh had just returned from their Honeymoon in Cozumel. Ruthie was in town and she looked great as ever since her wedding in September. Just naming a few, but we truly were able to see so many of our family and friends while in town for the holiday.
This was the very 1st Christmas for our nephews Nicholas & Noah so it was a special treat to see them attempt to open presents at the age of 6 1/2 months, then try to put all the wrapping paper in their mouths. These boys are no fuss and all smiles. What an awesome time to see them as they quickly grow. I miss them already
With the new webcam we gave Lisa & John for X-mas we are looking to see them again very soon.
When we returned to Jax on Wednesday Brandon’s parents were in town to celebrate with us as well. They took a very long car ride from Albuquerque, NM to Jax…a good 25 hours give or take and crossing 2 timezones. We were thrilled to see them continue the fun. We had our X-mas together and ordered in Copeland’s for dinner…mmmmm! Yes, their is a Copeland’s less than a 1/2 a mile from our home.
On Thursday evening we headed to Orlando to attend the Champs Bowl where MSU was unfortunately beaten by Boston College. With MSU missing 5 key players during this game the Spartans lost 24-21. Despite the loss we had a blast with our parents and Reggie & Ryan who had driven down to meet up with us. Reggie is a MSU Alumni as well as B’s dad & G-pa Westerman. We stayed at the Peabody hotel…great beds…soft and cozy. I definitely recommend this hotel. Plus as a bonus you get to see the ducks they are famous for bath in the fountain daily.
Saturday we headed back to Jax and had dinner with Charlie & Mickey (family friends) and then rested the rest of the weekend. So as you can see our week in review is one we won’t forget. To see the many pictures…you know I have them click here.
Happy New Year to you all!
