What a thrill

To answer the question at the end of my previous post, I got to meet David Garrard tonight!
David is, of course, the starting quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars. And like my previous Jags encounters, our meeting came at a taping of THE Jaguars Show at CBS47 studios.
I’d met David previously about a year ago when I was invited to play poker at then-Jaguar Mike Pearson’s house. I played there a few times, and David came to play one night. I had a brief conversation with him that night, and it was enough to realize that David is not only a great player, but also a great guy.
It was a thrill to see him again, this time as the starting QB, and to finally get a picture with him (even if he didn’t remember me from poker night)

He’s short! Put you in at tight end and I bet you could out run Palaxico Burris and grab a bomb in the end zone!

Haha, I was definitely taller than Garrard, but he was sitting down in this picture, so he’s not THAT short.
Not sure I could outrun Plaxico. Maybe Charles Rogers?

How Cool! I miss the Jags out here in San Diego! I hear they played San Diego last weekend and beat them… AND I MISSED IT!!!! The one game I could’ve watched
