A view from our seatsSteph and I were in attendance for the Jaguars’ game on Monday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts. It really was awesome to be a part of the Monday night party. The Jags fans (us included) filled the stadium with teal jerseys, and we were all given white foam “wiggle sticks”… kind of like the Steelers’ well known “terrible towels” but with less bite. It was an incredible site when the Jags took the field, and the sea of teal responded so loudly, I could barely hear myself yelling.

Quinn GrayIt was great to see the Jags fans finally united and filling the stadium. Unfortunately the game ended with an embarrassing loss, our star quarterback injured, and an outlook for the rest of the season that is bleak at best. It’s very depressing for me.

But hey, like Albert Brenneman says in the movie “Hitch” about his lost love, “I’ve waited my whole life to feel this miserable. If this is the only way I can stay connected with her then this is who I have to be.”

I’ve waited my whole life to feel this miserable about a sports team’s loss. I guess this is definitive proof that I’ve got teal blood running through my veins.
